#27. How Do You Feel About Love These Days

Love is beautiful, and it takes so many different forms. I think romantic love is complicated, messy, and incredible, but it’s not necessarily an important form of love. It’s wonderful if you do find it, and you should cherish it in yourself and others, but life is no less fulfilling without it. Man, can you tell I’ve been single for a while?

I think the love we have for our families is just as complicated, but definitely more important. Families are messy, complicated, and downright screwed up about 90% of the time. But for the most part, we do tend to love our families unconditionally and forgive them for a lot of screw ups.

We love our friends, and usually that love tends to be a lot less tainted by our emotions. We accept that our friends are human and flawed, just the same as us and we will always love them. We accept our differences and cherish the ways that we are alike, we encourage our friends to pursue their passions, and encourage often both their good and bad decisions.

A life without any love at all is not a life. It’s a miserable existence. We as human beings need some form of love in our lives. I’m a firm/believer these days in trying to spread as much love as possible, to encourage each other’s achievements and to spread a little bit more positivity. I think it would make the world a much better place.

At the end of the day, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all.
